Memorable Trip "PONDICHERRY"

Amidst extreme heat in Chennai, finally we decided to visit Pondi. Nishant, Bivor and Myself made sure that each and every one of us go there and have a blast. It was Nishant who hired a tavera and a sumo that too AC for 2 days. 5K for 2 days was quite ok with us, so we decided to take it. It was saturday and 2 O'clock when I finished a plate of hopeless Biriyani and started for Pondi hoping to reach there by 4.30. That never happened coz we also visited a "Croc Park" on our way. There it took around 2 hrs to finish watching all the crocks and snakes.
It seemed that there are thousands of crocks who were forced to take sun bath in Chennai. I felt sorry for them but it seemed they are properly taken care of. They looked like motionless lizard. Everyone was excited to see them. Some were Huge some were small but not a single one was there who didn't looked dangerous. Watching discovery and animal planet these years i thought i know enuf about crocks but i was wrong. Can u guess how much a crock can weight? You wont believe but its true they can weight more that 650 pounds. I saw a monster weighing 550 pounds. Finally we understood that we are taking a hell lot of time out here and we need to move our a** and we started at last hoping that there would be no break in the journey. It was close to 5 when we finally decided to leave the crocks behind.
The Sumo moving with a speed of around 100km/h and AC made sure that the journey was smooth. Road was unbelievable and if you r staying in Kolkata you have never probably made a journey in this kind of a road. It was approx 6.15 when we entered the Union Territory. We have gathered enuf info abt pondi previously. It seemed to me that life in Pondi is same as that of Goa. Bikes and scootys were very common. We decided to go to the Rock Beach directly but that didn't happened because the Anna driving the car was new to pondicherry like us. He forgot the way to beach and we were amidst all sort of trouble. We had to ask people without any success coz people of South India are very good in both Hindi and English. Amidst all confusion we decided to take few rooms first, and then after taking shower we will move to Rock Beach. This time our plan worked and we did just the way we thought.
Finally after hell lot of asking localites in broken language we reached Rock Beach and finally reached "SEA GULL". By the sea side with rock band performing and continuous cool breeze, the atmosphere was just perfect for boozing with friends. After 3 or 4 pegs of Vodka and 3 tequila shots one after the other, i felt like am on Cloud No. 9. Some were O.U.T some were fighting with own-self to be in control but in no vain. Every one got drunk one after the other and we decided to move out of the bar and spend some time sitting by the beach. It was almost 11 at night and we were still fighting hard to Enjoy every moment. Ayan and Poshu were the first 2 who lost complete control. At around 12 we left the beach and moved towards Hotel. On our way we remembered that we have not taken our dinner, so literally dragging Ayan and Poshu to the respective rooms we left for dinner hoping there would be some restaurant or the other that would remain open at that time. Finally we got a roadside dhosa parlour if not a dhaba to get some control of our hunger. We ate and decided to move towards the beach again. Mind you none of us were in condition to move a inch but still we decided we would go back to the same old rock beach from where we came drunk. We went there and after spending around 1 hour we again came back thinking that we have tortured our body a lot and now its D time to give some rest to it. It was already around 4 in the morning. Sleeping after getting drunk is always the best sleep u can get.
Nice Trip Na!!! But yes we did enjoyed a lot there. Pondi anytime any day with friends is a fun place to visit.
